Can real wood go in a bathroom? The real answer

Can Real Wood Go in a Bathroom?
If you asked that question twenty years ago, my answer would have been pretty simple.
Probably not.
Not because hardwood isn't beautiful.
Because bathrooms are hard on wood.
You've got showers, wet feet, steam, humidity, kids splashing water, and the occasional toilet overflow. Traditional hardwood and moisture have never been the best of friends.
So the flooring industry did what made sense.
Tile.
Vinyl.
Laminate.
Anything but real hardwood.
For years, that just became accepted as fact.
But here's the thing...
The problem was never that people didn't want hardwood in their bathroom.
The problem was the hardwood available at the time.
That's where Thermawood changes the conversation.
Instead of adding waterproof coatings or chemicals, Thermawood changes the wood itself using only heat and steam.
The process makes the wood dramatically more stable than traditional hardwood, allowing it to handle moisture and humidity far better than conventional solid wood.
Does that mean you can leave standing water on it for days?
Of course not.
It's still real wood.
But normal bathroom humidity, steam after a shower, and everyday life aren't the same thing as flooding a floor.
In fact, some of the most beautiful bathrooms we're seeing today feature real wood floors, wood shower walls, floating vanities, and warm natural finishes that simply can't be duplicated with plastic flooring.
People are moving away from cold, sterile bathrooms and toward spaces that feel more like a luxury spa.
Real wood helps create that feeling.
At Thermawood-USA, we believe homeowners shouldn't have to choose between beauty and practicality.
You should be able to enjoy the warmth of real hardwood in more places than ever before.
Bathrooms included.
Maybe we've been looking at bathroom flooring all wrong.
