Why Thermawood-USA? Because American Wood Still Matters.

Look, there are a handful of companies selling thermally modified decking and cladding. Some offer flooring, too.

But start looking a little closer, and you'll notice something interesting.

A lot of thermally modified wood is manufactured overseas, shipped across oceans, and eventually makes its way into American homes.

And when it comes to flooring, many of the products you'll find are limited to narrower widths.

Now, a couple of things immediately come to mind.

First, why does my flooring have more traveled miles on it than my truck?

And second...

WHY AREN'T WE USING AMERICAN WOOD?

It's not like we don't grow beautiful White Oak, Red Oak, Ash, Cypress, and some of the finest hardwoods in the world right here in the United States.

Hmm. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

American Wood. American Hands.

At Thermawood-USA, we're not simply out here selling another wood product.

We love what we do.

We believe in American-grown hardwood, milled by American hands, and in supporting the craftsmen and mills that have spent generations working with real wood.

And after more than 40 years in this business, I can tell you there's something special about working with people who actually know the wood they're cutting.

Not just a salesperson reading specifications off a computer screen.

Real wood people.

People who understand grain, character, long lengths, wide planks, and what it takes to make a beautiful hardwood floor.

That's who we like working with.

And What's With All Those Shipping Miles?

Here's something else worth thinking about.

Every time a product travels halfway around the world, somebody pays for that trip.

Ocean freight, ports, containers, transportation, warehousing, and another truck or two before it finally gets to your home.

And who do you suppose ultimately pays for all that?

You do.

Now, imported wood certainly has its place. There are some beautiful products grown and manufactured overseas.

But when we have outstanding hardwood growing right here at home, why wouldn't we start there?

Especially when we're making a product designed to last for decades.

And Then There's Black Locust.

Now here's another American wood that deserves some attention.

Black Locust.

It isn't thermally modified. And frankly, its natural durability is one of the reasons we like it so much.

We're talking about a hardwood with a long history of use in fence posts and outdoor applications, including examples that have lasted 50 years or more.

And yet, how often do you hear people talking about Black Locust when they're shopping for decking?

Instead, everybody seems to know about imported tropical hardwoods like Ipe.

Don't get me wrong. Ipe is an impressive wood.

But Black Locust is another excellent option worth knowing about, and it grows right here in America.

That's why we offer it, too.

Because sometimes the answer isn't another complicated manufacturing process.

Sometimes Mother Nature already did a pretty good job.

So, Why Thermawood-USA?

Because we believe you shouldn't have to look halfway around the world to find beautiful, well-made hardwood.

We believe American mills and craftsmen deserve our business.

We believe wide planks, beautiful character, and quality construction still matter.

And we believe in making real wood available for more of the places people want to use it.

We're wood people. Always have been.

And we're pretty proud of the wood that grows right here at home.
